BLOOMINGTON — The second half of Indiana football’s game against Western Illinois on Friday night started with officials keeping time on the field after the scoreboards at Memorial Stadium became inoperational.
The scoreboards went dark at the end of halftime and there was a brief delay as officials discussed the issue. The Hoosiers have scoreboards located in each end zone and the game day feed didn’t turn back on until there was 10:33 left in the third quarter.
They briefly aired a mini-version of the television broadcast.
Indiana football went into halftime with a 42-3 lead over the Leathernecks. The Hoosiers scored on their first six possessions and didn’t allow a first down until there was less than two minutes to go in the second quarter.
