No. 10 Utah is set to host Arizona on Saturday, and it seems like star quarterback Cam Rising will be able to suit up after missing two games with an injury. Either way, the Utes will have to contend with a couple of the Wildcats’ explosive offensive weapons.
With Rising sidelined due to a finger injury, Utah has managed to pull out a pair of wins, the latest of which was a 22-19 rock fight against Oklahoma State. Freshman quarterback Isaac Wilson ran the offense in that one, and he experience some struggles. Wilson threw for 207 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
Still, the always stingy Utah defense did its job and bottled up Oklahoma State for just 285 total yards while forcing a pair of turnovers. If Rising does return this weekend, that unit should have a little bit more run support with which to work.
Arizona had the chance to lick its wounds with a by week following a 31-7 thumping at the hands of Kansas State. The Wildcats just haven’t quite been able to hit fifth gear yet this season, and quarterback Noah Fifita has battled inconsistent performances. One player who has not battled inconsistency is star wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who has already posted 23 catches for 453 yards and four touchdowns in three games.
