Cayd Sespico doesn’t remember too clearly losing an entire season when Abington Heights cancelled football in 2020 as a protective measure during the COVID-19 pandemic.
But he has played a big part in the football program’s resurrection.

He had a season-high seven tackles against Scranton in the regular season, then five in a 14-6 win over the Knights in the semifinals of the District 2 Class 5A playoffs.
Sespico is one of seven starters returning on offense and one of eight back on defense, and the Comets will start the season with optimism after a 7-5 overall record and a loss in the District 2 Class 5A championship game against Delaware Valley.
