Auburn football is ready to face its first Power Four opponent of the season.

After beating Alabama A&M on Saturday to kick off the 2024 season, Auburn will host Cal as part of the second game in a home-and-home series that began in 2023. Last season, Auburn traveled to Berkeley and escaped with a 14-10 win thanks to a 5-yard pass from [autotag]Payton Thorne[/autotag] to [autotag]Rivaldo Fairweather[/autotag] with 6:31 remaining in the game.

Neither team managed to gain over 275 yards of offense. Thorne also passed for just 94 yards in the game. However, the Auburn defense found a way to limit Cal running back Jadyn Ott to just 78 yards on 20 carries, which was the biggest win for Auburn outside of what the scoreboard showed.

Ahead of Saturday’s game, here are five quick facts about the Cal Golden Bears.
