Mike Williams injury update: Jets WR set to begin practicing with team as he returns from torn ACL

One of Aaron Rodgers’ new weapons is just about ready to take the field. The Jets took wide receiver Mike Williams off the physically unable to perform list earlier this month and the former Chargers wide receiver, coming off a torn ACL, is getting ready to work his way into practice.

“I think next week I’m going to be doing some team [drills],” Williams said Monday, via the Associated Press. “Just getting in the rhythm of doing things with the team and lining up and going through some plays.”

Williams, who was released by Los Angeles in a cost-cutting measure this offseason, went down with the knee injury in Week 3 last year. He was off to a hot start in 2023, catching 15 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown in his last two games played.
