No. 9 Tennessee (2-0) enters Week 3 of the 2024 college football season.
The Vols moved up three spots in the Week 3 US LBM Coaches Poll following a 51-10 win versus North Carolina State in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Tennessee will host Kent State (0-2) on Saturday at Neyland Stadium. Kickoff between the Vols and Golden Flashes is slated for 7:45 p.m. EDT and will be televised by SEC Network.
Saturday will mark the first meeting between the two schools.
Entering Week 3, Tennessee’s defense has not surrendered a touchdown in three straight games dating to last season, the Vols’ longest streak since the 1985 campaign. From Oct. 26-Nov. 9, 1985, Tennessee allowed six points to Georgia Tech (two field goals), shut out Rutgers and held Memphis to seven points (blocked punt return for a touchdown).
