Cooper Jaguars senior Austin Alexander led his team to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Class 5A state championship game last season and will be instrumental in getting the Jags back for a deep playoff run.
Alexander is a four-star North Carolina commit who was second in the state last year with 19 total sacks from the defensive line while also having over 1,100 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns as a tight end.

Who is North Carolina commit Austin Alexander?
Alexander is a 6-foot-3, 245-pound defensive lineman and tight end for the Jaguars. The nephew of former SEC Player of the Year and NFL MVP Shaun Alexander, he committed to North Carolina in April. Alexander chose the Tarheels over other offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Louisville, Kentucky, Notre Dame and more.
Last season, Alexander had 78 total tackles,19 sacks and an interception in 15 games. Offensively, Alexander caught 67 passes for 1,138 yards and 19 touchdowns.

According to 247Sports, Alexander is a four-star recruit and the No. 3 player in his class for the state of Kentucky. Alexander also weighs in as the No. 30 defensive lineman in the nation and is the No. 336 player in the nation overall by the 247Sports composite ranking.
